Compression springs

Compression spring is a screw-shaped spring with fixed clearance amongst active coils that takes up external forces acting against each other within spring axis. The wire, with compression spring working, is subject to a twisting stress.

Compression springs are made of wires of a cylindrical cross-section from wire diameter of 0.32 mm up to 3.2 mm.
